Literature Text

It took years but you Brought me around
my feet left the ground
a Billion hours 'til touch down

you made me feel Whole
filled my holes
filled my hole
revised a Soul, long 'go
gone cold

you gave me hope
said you'd be there
a 'possible Life to share'
as One
that means two
as in a pair

Weeks one through five
rang loudly with 'I want that!'
but then came number Six
where I became no one, well,
let's be fair, I became someone to Kick
to the curb, to the side,
the where is irrelevant now

So it's seven months later and I am done being the bad guy,
not for your story or anyone else's
I am done being sorry
or the lowest common denominator

so why don't you come clean to me, to use your own words
Better yet, forget I ever cared at all
You know sometimes, timing, no I am going to go with all the time, is everything.

I love the the diction of this poem.

So much fortitude and resolve, introspection, raw emotions. Such a gorgeous, real, poem.
